As a nonprofit, membership-based organization that relies largely on events, dues, programs and trustees to generate revenue, we have been dramatically impacted by the restrictions imposed to deal with our current public health crisis. And, as our members have struggled, so have we.
We’ve had to say goodbye to some of our beloved staff members, make pay and budget cuts, and say goodbye to many of our revenue generating events.
Through all of this, we’ve worked together to continue to support our members – even extending payment deadlines and providing creative solutions where possible – through advocacy, education and safe networking opportunities.
And, in spite of challenges, heartbreak, confusion and loss experienced in our community, so many of you have stuck by us through this year and even more of you have chosen to invest in us and the future of business in Frederick by joining our ranks.
We’ve lost some incredible business members to the economic impact of the pandemic, but it’s not all bleak news!
We’ve welcomed 87 (9/30/19-10/1/20) new members to the Chamber this year, while celebrating milestone membership anniversaries for many others. We’ve welcomed new members to our Partners in Trust Program and partnered with several others to provide services, opportunities and programs meant to promote healthy business growth in Frederick.
To say we are grateful to all of you would be an understatement. It’s so much more than that!
