How long have you been a member of the Chamber? Joined the Chamber in October 2003, so 19 years

Where are you originally from? Boston but been in Frederick for over 30 years

What is your favorite candy? Snickers!

What are some of your personal hobbies and interests? Besides golfing over 100 rounds a year, I also am a craft beer lover and will travel for live music, especially for anything related to the Grateful Dead

What is a book you think everyone should read? Moneyball by Michael Lewis

Why did you want to be an Ambassador? To share my experiences about this Chamber and to give back to a great organization

How long have you been a member of the Chamber?
I am about to go into my second year with the Chamber. I have been on the Women in Business committee for 1 year, going into my second, and have been apart of SHE week for 2 years.

Where are you originally from? I have lived in Frederick since I was 5 years old!

What is your favorite candy? Dark Chocolate

What are some of your personal hobbies and interests? When I am not working or at an event, you can find me spending time with my four young children. I enjoy staying active, being outdoors in the sunshine, and finding new ways to be a serial entrepreneur.

What is a book you think everyone should read? I have 4 young children, there isn’t much time for reading : )

Why did you want to be an Ambassador? Living in Frederick most of my life, I have seen so many changes in not only living in the town, but also working in Frederick. I really enjoy giving back and passing along things I have learned along the way, in hopes it will be continued to be shared.

What is your favorite candy? Reese’s

What are some of your personal hobbies and interests? Love spending time with my 31 yr. old horse and other animals, watching inspirational and true story movies or documentaries, reading inspirational, spiritual & personal development books & seeing the little miracles God brings our way, doing anything that has to do with the outdoors, spending time with my husband, Bob, my BFF, doing whatever, & riding our motorcycles.

What is a book you think everyone should read? The Bible, any books by Rebecca Ondov, Dave Roever, or a recent book called “Project Solomon” or Jim Rohn’s books.

Why did you want to be an Ambassador? I really like talking with those who have started their own business and/or joined the Chamber, to hear their journey, their vision, mission and passion for what they are doing. Then helping them to feel connected in the community and help in any way that I can. I find it a joy and privilege to connect with others.

How long have you been a member of the Chamber? I joined in 2017 and had the privilege to be in the Leadership Frederick County Class of 2020. I also serve on the Women in Business Committee and the LFC 35th Anniversary Committee.

Where are you originally from? Born and raised in California, I’ve lived in Frederick my entire adult life.

What is your favorite candy? Who doesn’t love some good dark chocolate?

What are some of your personal hobbies and interests? I have two toddler girls that keep me busy. I also enjoy reading, baking, and sleeping (I mentioned the toddlers, right?)

What is a book you think everyone should read? Wherever You Go by Pat Zietlow Miller. Yes, it is a children’s book, but it is a reminder of the importance of our journey and how it can vary during different times in our life. My “formal” recommendation? Hillbilly Elegy by J.D. Vance

Why did you want to be an Ambassador? I remember how overwhelming it was when I became a new member, and I would love to help new members navigate the many aspects our Chamber has to offer.

How long have you been a member of the Chamber? Frederick Chamber member for over 2 years, Women in Business Committee Member since 2023.

Where are you originally from? The Midwest. We moved around a lot-Iowa, South Dakota, Nebraska, Wisconsin and Minnesota until about 3 years ago when we moved to Frederick.

What is your favorite candy? Take 5- love the salty sweet combo!

What are some of your personal hobbies? Gardening is the way I relax and I love seeing the flowers and vegetables grow. I also enjoy traveling, anything DIY with power tools and hiking.

What is a book you think everyone should read? I love a good business book-current favorite is “Never Split the Difference” by Chris Voss. Excellent book about negotiation that has great tips for anyone.

Why did you want to be an Ambassador? I wanted to be a Chamber Ambassador to help people connect and to support local business owners. Serving as a Chamber Ambassador aligns with my commitment to building meaningful relationships and connections and helping foster a thriving business environment in Frederick County.


Kristen Wojdan | Founder & Editor, Frederick Lifestyle

How long have you been a member of the Chamber? I’m approaching 5 years in 2024! And, I’m a proud graduate of LFC Class of 2020!

Where are you originally from? Born and raised in Laurel, Maryland, I moved to Frederick County with my husband and children in 2017.

What is your favorite candy? All things chocolate!

What are some of your personal hobbies or interesting facts about yourself? My first career was in education for 22 years. I served as a high school history teacher, volleyball coach, SGA advisor, break dance club sponsor, and developed/taught a student leadership course for juniors and seniors. Currently I enjoy teaching Sunday School at my church. I love sharing new experiences with my children and husband in Fredrick County! And, I enjoy drinking tea!

What is a book you think everyone should read? The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry by John Mark Comer

Why did you want to be an Ambassador? The Frederick County Chamber of Commerce was such an integral part of successfully launching and growing Frederick Lifestyle. I’m so grateful for everything the Chamber has done for me personally and professionally. This is a way for me to support the mission of the Chamber and connect with others in our community. I’m always seeking to learn more about local businesses and find ways to support, elevate, connect, and serve. I look forward to meeting new people, learning more about what they are most passionate about and cultivating authentic and supportive relationships.
