What are some personal hobbies or interesting facts about you? I am a huge N.Y. Mets fan – and try to catch as many games As I can. I am both a former Minor League Ballplayer and a Cancer Survivor. Moved to Frederick about 13 years ago to marry the love of my life and the rest…history
What is a book you think everyone should read? The Bible
Why did you want to become an Ambassador? Ambassador: an official envoy. I remember when I first joined and had literally no clue. After 8 years and great relationships with the entire Chamber Team and a wealth of knowledge and tools in my belt that they have shared and taught me (including My Ambassador – The Incomparable Consie Myers) I believe it is only served best when it is paid forward . I am an Ambassador because I want to teach and help the next class of Ambassadors!

What are some of your personal hobbies? Bicycling – longest bike ride so far has been 336.7 miles over 8 days.

Why did you want to be an Ambassador? The Chamber has a lot to offer. There is an abundance of resources! I want business owners to learn about those resources and network. Frederick has a lot to offer and we take care of our own.
What advice would you give someone who is thinking about joining the Chamber? Try it out, come to a networking event. Guaranteed you be joining after your first networking event.

How long have you been a Chamber member? About a year and a half. I was a member years ago with a previous company, but rejoined when I opened my own business here in Frederick.
Where are you originally from? I grew up in Middletown, MD. Went to Middletown Elementary, Middle and High School….go Knights!
What is your favorite candy? Mike and Ikes, without a doubt!
What are some of your personal hobbies and interests? I grew up camping as a kid so during the pandemic my wife and I really got into camping with our two boys. We’ve been to many of the MD State Park Campgrounds, our favorite being Swallow Falls State Park in Garrett County. I also like to travel, spend time at our beach house in Fenwick Island, DE, ride my bike, and really just spend time together as a family.
Why did you want to be an Ambassador? When I re-joined the Chamber early last year as a new business owner, I was really impressed with the Ambassador program and how it helped me in my first few months. Navigating all the opportunities a membership with the chamber offers can be daunting, so I wanted to be able to pass that support on as an Ambassador to new members.

Why did you want to be an Ambassador? This is a great thing to do. I wish they had an Ambassador when I joined last year to welcome me and help me!! There is nothing more rewarding than helping others to navigate this world

What are some of your personal hobbies or interesting facts about yourself? I am a proud member of Steeler Nation! I am very much looking forward to the Football Season. I enjoy working out and anything that involves healthy competition, volleyball, tennis, board games and cards. My favorite title is Auntie! I love hanging out with my niece and nephews.
What is one book you think everyone should read? I am challenging myself to read more this year. I am looking for recommendations! One book I have read is fanatical prospecting by Jed Blount. An awesome book for motivation for those in sales!
Why did you want to be an Ambassador? This is my first year as a Chamber Ambassador. I am really excited to get more involved with the Chamber and especially help new members. I decided to be an ambassador to help share all the awesome benefits of being a member. When I first joined, I was greeted with such a warm welcome.

What are some of your personal hobbies or interesting facts about yourself? I have run several non-profits for over 30 years and was a dance teachers for a very long time. Now I spend time with grandkids and read!!

Why did you want to be an Ambassador? Being asked to be an ambassador gives the opportunity to help partner and develop the networking and resources for folks who may not realize how important it is when starting a new business.
