We started in 1964 providing housing and hope for men who were homeless and/or alcoholics.
What do you like most about being located in Frederick County?
Frederick residents are overwhelmingly generous with their time and resources. We receive no government funding–everything we distribute is donated. We also manage over 1,000 volunteers each month!
What makes Frederick Rescue Mission Unique?
People come to us when they are hungry, facing poverty, and desire to break free from substance addiction. We welcome all with open arms and a heart of compassion. Our love-centered service is not transactional – it’s transformational. We’re working to better the lives of those in most need in our community, not just for a moment in time, but for eternity.
What do you want Frederick Rescue Mission to be known for?
Through Christ’s love, we offer:
Residential recovery programs for those experiencing homelessness or chemical addiction.
Nutritious meals to the hungry.
Clothing and personal care items to those in need.
We also recognize that needs go beyond food and clothing. The Frederick Rescue Mission, through our ministry team of volunteers, fosters relationships with our community. We sit with them. We pray with them. We bring light to dark times in their lives.
