In 2008, Carol deLaski found herself ready for a career change after 25 years of working in the telecommunications industry.
She discovered the field of Life and Business Coaching and fell in love with the process of coaching. As someone who has always been a good listener (and talker!) coaching was a perfect fit for her natural talents – meeting people where they are and asking powerful questions to help them find their direction and form action steps was right up her alley.
After she went through a year-long program with iPEC, an accredited coaching school with the ICF (International Coaching Federation) she launched deLaski Coaching Services and in 2011 became a full time coach focused on coaching executives in the public and private sectors.

In addition to coaching, Carol deLaski provides a number of services to those seeking coaching guidance.
I enjoyed collaborating with other professional coaches and founded the Wholistic Coaching Coalition to create custom retreats to develop women both professionally and personally.
I wrote a coaching book called Lost and Found: Discovering Strength in Love and Faith and published it in 2014. The book is written in story format and shares how I overcame challenges in my life. Each chapter ends with coaching questions to encourage the reader to reflect on how they have managed the adversities in their own life. The book becomes an exploration of resilience noticing what makes one a strong, capable, confident individual. It is a tool to learn from the challenges we face and use them as a catalyst for growth.
The Lost and Found podcast, soon to be released, will provide a place for people to share their stories and wisdom.

deLaski Coaching Services focus on finding strengths and building on them.
My unique approach to executive and team coaching focuses on building strengths and natural talents. My approach to growth is also wholistic – believing that it’s important to develop all aspects of a person or team: mind, heart, body and spirit. I purposefully spell is with a ‘w’ to be a reminder of the importance of wholeness. My unique phrase is Wholistic Confidence.
I believe that leadership development starts with self-awareness. We need to know what we are doing – or not doing – before we can decide what changes need to be made. With self-awareness we can consciously choose the action steps what will intentionally move us towards our goals. My own strengths are uniquely designed to connect, listen, explore and develop others. It is my passion and calling to teach about, and grow the strengths and talents of others.

I want my business to be known for being a safe place for individuals or teams to explore who they are in order to become more of who they want to be. I want to help people grow and become all they want to be. I do this using well respected and proven tools and techniques for personal and professional development. I am a person of faith and see my work as a calling. I am living my purpose and using my strengths well when I teach and coach others to build their inner strength.
