Meet Goodwill Industries of Monocacy Valley

Goodwill Industries of Monocacy Valley (GIMV) is a local non-profit organization offering thrift retail stores, donation centers, and career development mission services. GIMV is dedicated to ending poverty through the power of work. Purchases and donations support mission services like MyCareerAdvisor.com and the Platoon Veteran Services Center at Goodwill.

Goodwill’s Mission

Goodwill Industries was founded in the early 1900’s with the purpose of “giving a hand up, not a hand out.” Today, Goodwill organizations operate regionally and provide career and employment services to help anyone in need of finding a job and developing their career with no-cost resources.

At GIMV, we’re gearing up for the launch of the Platoon Veteran Services Center at Goodwill. We’ve partnered with Platoon 22 to provide a variety of resources to our local Veterans. For anyone in need of help with job resources, Goodwill also has an online career services platform, MyCareerAdvisor.com. MyCareerAdvisor brings online resources to help you find a job right to wherever you are. This includes resume and interview assistance, local job information, and Goodwill’s online training services to help boost your career.

Goodwill’s Services

Many people know Goodwill for our thrift stores, but when you donate at Goodwill and shop, you’re helping support our mission services of providing career development resources to the community at no cost. And when you donate, you’re helping the environment by keeping no-longer needed items from going directly to the landfill. Supporting Goodwill is easy by shopping or donating.

Coming Soon to Goodwill Industries of Monocacy Valley

We are gearing up for the launch of the Platoon Veteran Services Center at Goodwill this fall. We also opened the new Goodwill on Patrick St., recently, bringing a new thrift shopping experience to the community.
