Founded in 1745 by Frederick County’s first settlers, Evangelical Reformed United Church of Christ is firmly rooted in the life of our community and is regarded as a landmark church of the City of Frederick.
They are an Open and Affirming congregation of the United Church of Christ, welcoming all, respecting our rich heritage as one of Frederick’s oldest downtown churches, and serving the present as a leader in social action and service to the community.
They have been a member of the Chamber for many years and we constantly look to them to provide partnership in multiple ways through event hosting and more.

ERUCC: A True Community Church
Leaders and members of ERUCC are highly engaged with a variety of service groups, non-profits, businesses, educational institutions, and elected officials in creating a more sustainable Frederick.
Our new and renewed space has been a unique addition to downtown Frederick and has enabled ERUCC to have an even greater impact by hosting a variety of groups.
In 2018, ERUCC opened 8,000 square feet of new and renewed space in order to meet the needs of our growing congregation and to provide beautiful space for groups, businesses, and families. We want the wider community to know about this space and especially the Downtown Community Room. We work with everyone from anywhere, allowing people to turn our open space into a canvas.
We believe that the best way to serve any community, whether it’s a local event, hosting your wedding during a glamorous reception or attending a corporate seminar, is to open our arms, doors, and amenities. Whatever has shaped a life, will fit into the outreach we’ve meticulously designed. Every person that walks in our doors is a person worth celebrating. We value a person’s presence. The story. And the next step of their future that begins here.

A Long History and a Bright Future
ERUCC is celebrating 275 years in Frederick. We look forward to welcoming the General Minister and President of the United Church of Christ to our 10:30 worship service on November 21st.
ERUCC is eager to continue to provide a safe environment and warm welcome to anyone who enters our doors.
Want to visit?
ERUCC offers a family worship service at 10:30 am every Sunday morning as well as a more formal service at 8:30 am in Trinity Chapel (10 W Church St). The 8:30 service includes communion and prayers for healing.
ERUCC offers Sunday School classes for Kindergarten through 4 th , 5 th through 7 th Grade and High school as well as adult education on Sunday Mornings at 9:30am.
They also offer a livestream of the 10:30 service if you are unable to visit in-person.
