March 10: Lunch Exchange: Hometown Harvest Kitchen
Join us for lunch and a speed networking event where you’ll make some great connections!
Want to make some new connections in a more intimate setting? Limited to 40 people; this event allows you time to get to know your tablemates as you rotate around in the fashion of “speed-dating”. Since we limit the amount of attendees and one representative from each company, you’ll have the opportunity to meet 39 other people as you rotate around through rounds and then networking after! Hone your 90 second “elevator” speech and come make those new connections.
The way this works:
There are ten tables of four attendees and you’ll rotate around for seven rounds of networking. Each round will allow you 90 seconds to tell your tablemates a little about yourself and your company. Timers are provided to keep your table on track! Bring flyers or any marketing materials that you’d like to hand out so people can go home with a great understanding of your business. After each round you’ll rotate to a new table and meet more new connections. For those who like to stay stationary, we do have ten spots for that (don’t worry, you’ll meet the same amount of people)! You’ll have plenty of time after the networking rounds to mix and mingle to have more indepth conversation or to meet those few people that you may not have been able to connect with during the rotations.

March 31: Women In Business: Roundtable Conversations: Impostor Syndrome
Roundtable Conversations, facilitated by the Chamber’s Women in Business Committee members, occur approximately once a quarter focusing on a new topic at each event.
These dialogues, held in an intimate setting, focus on topics that affect us, stretch us, and help us grow…intellectually, as leaders, and as professionals in Frederick County.
Topic: Impostor Syndrome
The term “impostor syndrome” wasn’t coined until 1978, but it’s safe to assume that many women have felt it. It’s that nagging feeling that you’re not good enough, that you don’t belong, that you don’t deserve the job, the promotion, the book deal, the seat at the table.
In this Roundtable Conversation, we will tackle the issue of impostor syndrome.
Facilitators:
- Carol deLaski – Executive Coach & Founder of Wholistic Coaching Coalition
- Kim Dow – Publisher of Sass Magazine and Owner of Sass Creative Studios
