Stronger in Numbers: Celebrating 1,000 Members

Stronger in numbers. That is the power of 1,000 members. It’s 1,000 businesses, organizations, and countless leaders working together toward shared success. It is 1,000 reasons to believe in the strength of community, connection, and collaboration. And it is all happening under one roof . One Frederick County Chamber of Commerce that exists to serve, support, and celebrate every single member. This milestone is not just a number. It is a reflection of the energy, commitment, and drive that defines who we are.

Reaching 1,000 members is more than a symbolic moment. It is a powerful indicator of our Chamber’s continued relevance, resilience, and reach within the community we hold so dear. It’s the result of over a century of meaningful programming, thoughtful leadership, and an unwavering focus on helping Frederick County thrive. From our weekly newsletters to our educational workshops, we have made it a priority to create value for the businesses we serve.

This milestone also reflects the strength of our signature events. From the inspiration of S.H.E. Week to the camaraderie of the Captains Cup Golf Scramble and the honor of the Public Safety Awards, these moments connect us, inspire us, and remind us why we do what we do.

“The Chamber’s growing members reflects how Frederick businesses value the advocacy, educational programing, affinity oriented work groups, and networking opportunities provided by the Chamber Staff,” — Steve Heine, Board Chair

Behind every event and program is the dedication of our volunteer leaders. Our Board of Directors and committee members contribute hundreds of hours of their time each year, helping guide the work and mission of the Frederick Chamber and it’s initiatives. Our Ambassadors create a welcoming atmosphere and guide our newest members, and our public policy advocacy efforts ensure that the voice of local businesses are heard in the halls of local and state government.

Supporting all of this, is a staff team that shows up every day with a deep passion for helping our members succeed. Each member of our team brings a unique skill set and a shared commitment to helping members grow, connect, and lead. This work matters to us because it matters to you!

Most importantly, this milestone belongs to each and every one of our members. While we are excited to celebrate member 1,000, the real story is about the other 999. These are the businesses and organizations that have believed in our mission, supported our efforts, and helped shape a Chamber that is truly built by and for its members. We are especially grateful to our Partners in Trust, whose investments allow us to expand our reach, elevate our programming, and deepen our service to the business community. This milestone is shared with all of you.

“The Chamber was the first place I shared my plan to leave corporate real estate and launch my own independent firm—and it was the encouragement, support, and advice I received from this community that gave me the confidence to take that leap. My journey with the Chamber began nearly three decades ago as an intern, and to now step into a leadership role here feels incredibly full-circle. From the spirit of the Holiday Card Exchange to the relationships that have shaped my career, the Chamber has been a constant presence in my professional life, and I’m grateful for everything it represents.”

– Danny Severn, Incoming Board Chair

This is more than a moment of celebration. It is a reminder of what is possible when people come together with a shared purpose. Our Chamber is growing because our members believe in something bigger — in the power of connection, in the value of partnership, and in the strength of community. And we are just getting started.

We’ll also be celebrating this milestone in true Chamber fashion, with our 1,000 Member Celebration & Picnic!
