Home Instagram Takeovers Meet Good Morning Frederick

Good Morning Frederick, produced by PromoCircus is a show promoting all the great things about Frederick County – the people, the events, the nonprofits.

A conversation with Dani Gurrie, Owner

Tell us about your business!

Dani Gurrie had worked in local radio for 6 years when she decided she needed a change. Having done video podcasts for years, she thought, “Why don’t I do a show about Frederick?” and in a matter of weeks, Good Morning Frederick was launched on April 1st 2024. The show streams to 8 platforms each weekday morning at 9am (6 Facebook pages, YouTube and LinkedIn).

What do you like most about being a business located in Frederick County?

I absolutely love Frederick County – I think that the business community here is very supportive and the opportunities are limitless. The partnerships & friendships that have been formed over the last 12 months have been phenomenal.

What makes your business unique?

Currently, there are no other shows focused entirely on Frederick County. And the YouTube channel is called “Everything Frederick LIVE” because I really wanted to get other people involved creating their own shows. This would create an entire channel all about Frederick.

What do you want your business to be known for?

I want people to know that I am doing this show to support local businesses and nonprofits. There are so many people doing amazing things in our county and I wanted to give them a platform. When people share the stream, or support by subscribing, they are in essence helping each one of the people i have interviewed; giving them a bigger platform. I would love for this show to be the resource that people use when selling why Frederick MD is such an awesome place!

Share some of your community involvement efforts!

Every month, I donate 100% of proceeds from sale of my Good Morning Frederick merchandise to local charities. I am a member of Key City Rotary and volunteer my time to emcee events like: Habitat for Humanity’s Blue Crabs and Blue Prints, SHIP’s Lip Sync Competition and recently the Walkersville Lions Club’s Dinner in the Dark.
I love to give back however I can and support the organizations who are helping to keep our community strong.

What do you do best?

I make people feel comfortable on the show – many people are very nervous coming in and after they all say “Oh that was so easy!”

Is there anything else exciting you want the Chamber membership to know about?

Get ready – my 300th show is coming in June and you can count on something spectacular to celebrate!!
