DCM BioServices works to eliminate downtime in laboratories through the maintenance, repair, and integration of lab automation instruments.

A Conversation with Jeff Griffin, Director of Business Operations

Tell us DCM BioServices’ story – when you started, how, why?

DCM BioServices was founded on the idea that laboratories should have options when it comes to the regular maintenance and repairs that are required to make sure their instruments meet the strict standards that are required in a lab setting. When they have choices for that service, they can find an option that fits their organization’s specific nee

 

What do you like most about being an organization in Frederick County?

Frederick is an incredible and diverse community. With so many different industries represented, operating a business in Frederick gives us the opportunity to serve in ways beyond what we do for our clients all over the country. The connection between the non-profit and for-profit businesses is strong and we are excited to partner with organizations to help make our city, county and state even stronger.

Why did you join the Chamber? How has being a member of the Chamber benefited you?

DCM BioServices joined the Chamber for a number of reasons. First is to stay abreast of issues that affect business in our community and to truly engage in the conversations that matter most. Additionally, the Chamber’s events and programs allow us to connect, grow and celebrate with professionals across the many industries represented by its members.

There are so many benefits to being a Chamber member. The Chamber offers many opportunities for community connections and phenomenal programs like Leadership Frederick County that allow us to grow both personally and professionally.

 

What do you want DCM BioServices to be known for?

DCM BioServices wants to be known as an industry leader in laboratory instrument service and automation and as a generous supporter of community health and wellbeing.

Share some of your community involvement efforts.

DCM BioServices is a proud supporter of Mental Health Association of Frederick County through sponsorship of their Catoctin Affair fundraising gala. We are a member of Frederick Health’s Corporate Honor Roll and a regular sponsor of the Chamber’s Public Safety Awards, FCC Scholarship Golf Tournament, and the Rotary Club of Carroll Creek’s Frederick Oktoberfest.

 

Do you have any exciting promotions or interesting events coming up? 

We’re excited to be working with techfrederick as they expand their mission to include and support the vibrant life sciences community in Frederick. The techfrederick Games are coming up this fall and we look forward to our first time being involved with the exciting, unique event. We also sponsor and participate in the Maryland Tech Council’s Bio Innovation Conference which aims to connect top life sciences professionals in the region and beyond.
