An interview with Adrienne Livioco, Director of Marketing
What is SOLDIERFIT?
The SOLDIERFIT program, founded by 8-year war veteran Danny Farrar and 15-year fitness professional Dave Posin, focuses on varied workouts incorporating strength, cardiovascular endurance and core training. With both indoor and outdoor facilities, SOLDIERFIT classes combine boot camp techniques from the United States Military with functional fitness training.
Certified instructors will guide and encourage you with motivating, exciting, and unique workouts — reshaping you from head to toe. The SOLDIERFIT program empowers everyone from mothers, teenagers, athletes, to law officers and firefighters through physical fitness. All shapes and sizes are welcome. The SOLDIERFIT workout includes all levels of fitness experience in one program. Not only is it incredibly rewarding to see people change and grow beyond the realm of fitness, but also to be able to do so in a positive and inclusive environment.
What do you wish people knew about SOLDIERFIT?
You don’t have to be a soldier/in the military to be SOLDIERFIT. Our goal is to provide a family atmosphere where each “troop” helps push one another to reach their desired goals. Our members’ age ranges from as young as 14 to as young at heart at 85. Our bootcamp style fitness facility is designed to accommodate any and all ability levels. We accomplish this by having nationally accredited instructors leading every single one of our sessions. So not only are they able to provide live coaching to prevent injury, but they demonstrate each movement prior to executing the exercise. This means, not only do you know what to do, but they provide progressions and regressions so you can move at your own pace and scale exercises as you see fit. We want to create that camaraderie amongst one another to help motivate and inspire our “Troops” to be better than they were yesterday.
Tell us about your community involvement.
We love community outreach. We take part in canned food drives, sneaker donations, toys for tots, and collaborate with other organizations to help make our community a better place. We also work hand in hand with non-profit organizations like Platoon 22 to help give back to our veterans.
Do you have any upcoming events you’d like our Chamber members to know about?
June 11, 2022 from 8:30 AM – 10:30 AM, we have a 2 hour Bootcamp run by one of the “Troop” favorite Black Hats, Kevin Burnes. He’s joining with Black Hats Laurie Keister and Tyler Wright for an exciting, fun-filled workout!
