Meet LifeCYCLE Studio
The LifeCYLCE Story
LifeCYCLE opened on January 10, 2020! We had a bumpy start due to COVID, but because of our AMAZING community and talented instructors, we are powering through!
We (Emily + Alyssa), went to school together and have been friends since Middle School. When we decided we were going to open LifeCYCLE, Emily worked in advertising sales at iHeartMedia and Alyssa worked at the Department of Energy.
Alyssa has always been into fitness and Emily, not so much. Alyssa talked Emily into a spin class in 2018 and though Emily’s experience wasn’t love at first class, it was by her second! After taking classes together for a couple years, we decided we wanted to open a boutique fitness studio that focused on empowerment and growth through engaging and effective workouts.
Through taking classes from various indoor cycling studios across the US, we found that a REALLY good spin class can be disguised as good therapy session! Our goal was to create a space and a community that supports that and the best part is that you don’t have to be a super fitness freak to jump right in! Our classes are taught and coached in a way that appeals to ALL fitness levels. An experienced rider can take a class right next to a new person and each will receive an equally beneficial and challenging workout.
Doing Business in Frederick
We have both grown up in Frederick County so our love for Frederick runs DEEP!
The best part of being a business owner in Frederick is the support we share with other business owners. We were immediately welcomed into the community and we can’t even begin to tell you how much we appreciate that.
Giving Back to the Community
We love that we can do so much as a local business for our community. We try and give back as much as possible- from donating toys to local children charities to raising money for local breast cancer patients- it’s so so fulfilling to know LifeCYCLE is making an impact!
In 2020 we partnered with Frederick’s Team Hope and in 2021 we partnered with The Red Devils to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness and support.
We also participated in Tour de Frederick in 2020, raising money to benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Frederick County.
In 2021 we collected household items to help support Marike’s place, a transition home for survivors of domestic violence as well as their children.
We also worked with Our Amazing Fighters and Em’s Good Vibe Tribe in 2021 to collect toys to support care packages for children and their siblings who are fighting childhood cancer.
We already have several initiatives in the works for 2022 including raising money for the American Cancer Society as well as supporting survivors of domestic violence.
