The Frederick Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce the finalists for the 2021 SHE Pitch competition! A new part of S.H.E. Week, SHE Pitch is a pitch competition for female CEOs in Frederick County designed to give businesses both in the “idea stage” and “growth stage” cash prizes, publicity and networking opportunities.
Finalists in both categories will compete live in front of an experienced panel of judges on August 26th for cash prizes.
Idea Stage Finalists:

- Elite Mixology | Noelle Tate
- Ifey and Blues | Kara Kelley
Growth Stage Finalists:
- CarrTech LLC | Sue Carr
- ODIN CrossFit | Allison Jachowski
- Tenth Ward Distilling Company | Monica Pierce
All participants in the competition, including finalists, received professional pitch training that guided them through the process of creating a catchy elevator pitch, investment summary, and slide presentation deck.
The S.H.E Pitch competition will be held Thursday, August 26th in the evening at Hood College Hodson Auditorium and winners will be announced following the competition. This event is open to the public so community members (even those who did not register to attend S.H.E. Week) can watch the competition and support the finalists. Audience members in attendance at Hodson Auditorium will get the opportunity to cast their vote for the “People’s Choice” Award!
The winners will receive:
Idea Stage – $4,500
Growth Stage – $5,000
People’s Choice Award – $500
Competition funders for SHE Pitch include the Frederick County Office of Economic Development, the City of Frederick Department of Economic Development, Hood College Graduate School and Octavo Designs.
