Several years ago, after retiring from her career as a private detective, Debbie Donohue began thinking about what to do in the next phase of her life.
On the suggestion of a friend, she decided to begin hosting weddings on her beautiful property in Keymar, Maryland.
Faith and prayer led her to open Prosperity Mansion & Farm, the Frederick wedding venue where brides and grooms can enjoy beautiful, affordable weddings in a historical setting of their dreams.

Our venue is full of unique elements such as 250-year-old doors from Egypt that the bride walks through in the garden. There are chandeliers hanging from trees, fountains, statues, patios, giant lawn chess, giant Connect Four, Bride and Groom cornhole, and lights galore throughout many of the trees.
We are not your run-of-the-mill venue because every part of our property is utilized for a different part of each wedding. For example, the ceremony site is located in our East Meadow, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres are in the Formal Gardens, and dinner and dancing is enjoyed in our Main Meadow. Guests and couples celebrate a uniquely wonderful experience at Prosperity Mansion & Farm. They love the open spaces, awesome views and cows and sheep grazing in the distance.
