Meet Tree Trekkers Frederick

Tree Trekkers is an outdoor aerial adventure and zipline park. Think giant obstacle course in the trees with ziplining.

Tree Trekkers is one of a kind, it is the only Tree Trekkers and is a small family owned business. They are the largest challenge course and adventure park in Frederick County and they’re a great place to enjoy nature and work up a sweat when you really need to step away from virtual life.

Open seasonally, spring, summer and fall are great times to get out and enjoy the Tree Trekkers experience.

Meet Tree Trekkers

How did Tree Trekkers come to be a part of Frederick County?

We started the process of opening the park in 2016 and officially opened in August of 2019.

A lot of blood, sweat, and tears have gone into this park. We wanted to create an environmentally, family friendly activity for the Frederick Community. A lot of Frederick is being developed and one of our goals was ensuring future generations would be able to enjoy woodland forests and nature.

We are situated on 30 acres of forest with 14 in forest protection which means it will never be cut down or developed. The park itself incorporates the forest and allows guests to literally climb, swing, and zip through the trees. We want people to take time away from technology and reconnect with nature, family, each other.

It hasn’t been an easy process starting a brand new small business and we are proud to work with and support other local small businesses in the Frederick Community.

How is Tree Trekkers unique in the recreation space?

Tree Trekkers is one of a kind, it is the only Tree Trekkers and is a small family owned business.

We are the largest challenge course and adventure park in Frederick County. It is important to us to be accessible to all members of the community so our prices are kept affordable and lower than most adventure parks.

In addition to our tree based adventures, we offer walking trails, sitting areas, and gardens unique to the Tree Trekkers experience. We offer guests the experience to disconnect from the screen and reconnect with the great outdoors, “Get off the screen and into the green”.

Do you work with local nonprofits and community groups?

We donate gift certificates to school fundraiser, team fundraisers, non-profits and more. We are happy to support efforts to fund local non-profits and community groups by donating to silent auctions, raffles, and fundraisers. We offer special rates for scouts, youth groups, and non-profits.

Eager to enjoy a Tree Trekkers adventure? They’re open now for the season and passes can be purchased on their website.

Plan to visit them Memorial Day weekend when they will be open Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. They will have local vendors around the park and Plumeria Pig BBQ food truck will be there on Saturday.
