The Frederick County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the opening of an internship opportunity in the area of marketing and communications. The team member would be responsible for the creation of written material and digital content. Details below:
Internship Title: Communications Intern
Number of Hours Required:Â 15-20

Internship Overview Â
Performs tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or re-designed depending upon individual circumstances.
Specific Duties:

- Assist with the creation of content for various Chamber platforms.
- Help in the creation and editing of content for the blog and weekly email newsletter
- Help create digital marketing materials
- Manage and update Chamber website
- Assist in developing content for FrederickChamberInsights.com including business articles, roundups and help with interview transcription
- Create / edit multimedia presentations as needed.
- Support the marketing and programming department in daily administrative tasks
Qualifications:
- Excellent writing and grammar skills
- Self-motivated, good organizational skills, detail-oriented, ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Outstanding verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail
- Working toward a college degree, preferably in a related field (e.g., English, Marketing/Communications, Business or Public Relations).
- Must be familiar working in Google docs and willing to learn Canva, Animoto, etc
- Must have dependable internet access.
Compensation: This position is for credit only.Â
