Woodsboro Bank was formed by a group of community members with diverse backgrounds, who recognized the need of a financial institution for the people and businesses in their community. Community has always been at the forefront of Woodsboro Bank. Throughout the years, the Bank has continued to evolve and advance in continuing to best serve our clients, colleagues, community and shareholders. The Bank started with one branch in Woodsboro and then started branching out in the 1990s to Thurmont and Frederick. In 2018, the Bank went through a rebranding which included expanding its commercial and mortgage banking operations. We now have 6 branch locations and our Commercial Office is located in the heart of Downtown Frederick.

We are heavily invested in the Frederick County community supporting dozens of non-profit businesses focused on human services, health & welfare, children, veterans, and the arts through our time, talents and treasures. Throughout the year, we sponsor a number of community non-profit events as well as hosting events ourselves to benefit our community. This year a special focus has been helping the individuals that have been hit hardest with the pandemic. We held three food drives in the Spring and are holding four food drives this fall to benefit the Frederick food banks.
