Marriage Resource Center of Frederick County

The mission of the Marriage Resource Center of Frederick County is to build a more resilient Frederick County by helping individuals, couples, and families develop and foster healthy relationships and heal from their adverse childhood experiences. As an integral partner in the Frederick community for nearly 15 years, they accomplish our mission by teaching communication and conflict resolution skills and practical principles for success. Marriage Resource Center is a “go to” organization in Frederick County for explaining and teaching ACEs, partnering with other nonprofit organizations, and helping families to understand the origins of their wounds and to heal. This understanding helps build and RE-build strong relationships and the resilience necessary to face future challenges – the cycle of negativity stops here and MRCFC provides a solution.

How you can help: A Frederick business or citizen can help most during the holidays by telling the story of the Marriage Resource Center, sponsoring a family, making cards to send to donors or supporters, and by having a fun activity such as a cake decorating night or paint party fundraiser.

Wish list: Items on their wish list include a new computer and a storage cabinet for supplies. We could also use additional mentoring materials for both individuals and couples.
