Frederick County Democratic Party

The mission of the Frederick County Democratic Central Committee is to advance the values of economic fairness and equality of opportunity in Frederick County. We register new voters; donate to local organizations (AARCH and the Spanish Speaking Community of Maryland, e.g.); recruit and train qualified candidates for office; and volunteer at community events like the recent Health Fair, as well as monthly at the Frederick food bank. We sponsor information tables at local carnivals, Pride, and In the Streets; and we connect constituents with elected officials who can help with individual issues.
How you can help: We just opened an office and need donations to our administrative account to pay for monthly phone and wifi in 2020.

Friends of Catholic Education, Inc.

Friends of Catholic Education, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing financial support for Mother Seton School, St. John Regional Catholic School, Saint John’s Catholic Prep and Mount St. Mary’s University and the families choosing to send their children to those schools. Through the generosity of our donors, since 1989, Friends of Catholic Education has awarded over $5 million to the schools and families through scholarships, block grants and tuition credits. Individual and corporate donors contribute to the Annual Giving Campaign, sponsor the yearly Teacher Appreciation Dinner and Fr. John McElroy Award Dinner, remember us their estate planning, make memorial contributions and many have created “named scholarships” in memory of a loved one. Catholic school education in Frederick County provides a strong foundation for the students who receive a Christ-centered education that fosters faith, service, discipline, respect and academic excellence. Thriving Catholic schools in Frederick County saves the county over $25,000,000 a year; the amount it would cost to educate the current Catholic school students at the public schools.

How you can help: Consider contributing to their Annual Giving Campaign
