Sherlock the Musical at the MET

It’s the origin story you’ve been waiting for! Follow a young Sherlock Holmes as he discovers his knack for solving crime among the dark streets of London. After a teenage Jane Watson suddenly finds herself orphaned, her life is turned upside down when she is shuffled off to the Hudson Home. It is here that she meets the orphanage’s resident weirdo Sherlock Holmes. Fascinated by Sherlock’s eccentricities Watson joins him on his mission to solve every odd thing that happens at the orphanage. However, when a murder is committed at the Hudson Home, Sherlock and Watson realize they have a real mystery on their hands. With the help of their friends they take to the seedy streets of London looking to solve the case, but Sherlock has his own agenda. He is secretly after something much bigger; the truth of who he is and where he comes from.

Summer Concert Series

Enjoy local and regional performers at these free concerts in the heart of historical Baker Park! From blues and swing groups to outstanding tribute artists, the concert series has something for everyone. In lieu of admission, canned food and cash donations will be accepted to benefit the Frederick Food Bank. 7-8:30pm.

Join the Frederick County Chamber of Commerce, Gaithersburg-Germantown Chamber of Commerce, MD Black Chamber of Commerce, MD Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Poolesville Chamber of Commerce for the annual joint networking mixer!  We will be at the scenic Madison Fields farm in Dickerson, MD (just a short 15 minute drive from Frederick) to make connections with our southern county Chambers.  Bring plenty of business cards for the new connections you’ll be making.

We will be gathering at the historic Milking Parlor (just across from the Farmhouse and pond).  Madison Fields staff will be on hand to direct you where to park.  Please follow their instructions to allow everyone a safe environment.  Tours will be available and Madison Fields will have information on hand about the programs they offer!

Alive @ Five’s 2019 season will feature 21 rockin’ events, every Thursday (except July 4th) from May 9 through October 3! Enjoy happy hour + live music on Carroll Creek in Downtown Frederick. Admission is $5, all events are 21+ ONLY and take place from 5-8pm.

Alive @ Five is a summer-long fundraiser for Downtown Frederick Partnership. All proceeds are reinvested into the Downtown Frederick community. Visit downtownfrederick.org for the 2019 season lineup and volunteer information… see you on the creek!
