Secure Energy Agreement Provides Chamber of Commerce Members With Energy Solutions Opportunity

Secure Energy and the Frederick County Chamber of Commerce are pleased to announce a new partnership that will benefit Chamber members. Secure Energy will be providing Chamber members with energy management strategies that are designed to influence key cost components of utility rates.

This new partnership will connect members with energy management solutions and strategies that will educate businesses to make better-informed buying decisions.

“As the cost to produce and supply energy increases, member businesses need tools and techniques to better evaluate choices and to more effectively manage their energy profiles. We’ve focused on this area for years, including cooperative energy purchasing options exclusive to our members,” states Chamber President & CEO Rick Weldon. “Secure Energy adds some additional services, including a more hands-on relationship for a member business to better understand how their business model drives their demand and consumption.”

“As a partner-in-trust, our goals are aligned with those of the Frederick Chamber of Commerce; to provide the business value-added services, giving them more time to concentrate on the challenges of their core business”, says Paul Henry, Energy Specialist for Secure Energy. “Since the deregulation of the energy market in Maryland, business owners have been able to purchase electricity and natural gas through competitive suppliers, but often lack what is needed to make informed decisions. Secure Energy develops individualized energy strategies, that have been helping companies navigate energy markets for over a decade. We are eager to meet with all FCCC members to educate members on their ability to influence utility costs.”

Beginning immediately, interested Chamber members will have access to one-on-one consultative meetings with Secure Energy specialists. During the meetings, representatives will learn how the member’s business consumes power, and will then work with to design a strategy that leverages the nuances of their organization’s unique energy profile, while providing long-term solutions.

“Acting as an in-house energy department, Secure Energy’s energy management services review your business’ user profile, and then introduce conservation measures, taking advantage of data and technology to drive efficiency and lower costs,” says Paul.
