2019 New Market Historic House Tour
Come visit one of Maryland’s most charming and distinctive small towns, just east of Frederick on the Old National Pike, founded when George Washington was our President.

New Market’s 2nd annual Historic House Walking Tour showcases some great local landmarks—the town’s first dance hall and second tavern, in a building dating from 1798 and now operating as the Terrace Garden Inn and Respite House; the house originally built by one of the town’s founders, William Plummer; a home that served as a Union Army guard house in the Civil War; the United Methodist Church, built in 1821, and several more distinctive and colorful properties. Tickets for the House Tour start at $25.

Local wineries and food trucks will also be on Main Street, and as you stroll through town, you can watch Plein Air artists at work capturing some of our colonial gems on canvas.
