Family Workshop: Create a Seed Starter
Get a garden started with our egg carton seed starter workshop! This short beginner’s gardening workshop will teach you the basics of starting a seed and how to care for it! Perfect for little hands and first time gardeners. Our family workshops are held open-house style. This craft takes about half an hour to complete, so feel free to stop by any time during the session. Adequate supervision of children is required.

Art & Architecture Walking Tour

Look at Frederick with new eyes. Experience the history and beauty of downtown as we explore some of the popular architectural styles, local art and history. 90 minute tour. *Tour starts at the Museum of Frederick County History, 24 East Church Street, Frederick, MD

Egg-citement and Westview Promenade

Come on out to Westview Promenade to enjoy a spectacular Easter candy and toy hunt! The Easter Bunny will be ready for photos; take a selfie!

Brunswick Small City Saturdays

Small City Saturdays will feature some of Brunswick’s most treasured characteristics and experiences while enhancing the downtown Brunswick experience! Businesses will come to life with fun themes and activities, day-long shopping experiences and culinary delights.

Easter Egg Hunt

The SGA Easter Egg Hunt is open to children 11 and under who are accompanied by an adult. There will be arts and crafts activities offered in addition to the egg hunt and opportunities to take photos with Blaze, our mascot, who will be dressed up as the Easter Bunny. Each child should bring their own basket to hold the eggs they collect. The eggs can be traded in for small prizes and candy once the hunt is over. To participate, all families must register with the Student Government Association when they arrive. Parking is available in the chapel lot.

Schifferstadt Architectural Museum Tours

A surprisingly complete story of the pioneer days of Frederick County, Maryland, nearly 300 years ago can be learned by touring the Schifferstadt Architectural Museum. The house is one of the oldest in Frederick County and one of the best examples in America of how German settlers adapted their traditions to the American frontier. Its distinctively German features led the U.S. Department of the Interior to name it a National Historic Landmark.

Monday, April 15

Lecture on “Emerging Technologies and Traditional Bioethics”

Laura Brosch, Ph.D., will discuss “Emerging Technologies and Traditional Bioethics.” She will discuss how ethical evaluation occurs by an Institutional Review Board (IRB) as new technology provides new therapeutic options for human treatment. For example, are the Belmont principles of justice, autonomy and beneficence sufficient for new vaccine trials, trauma treatment, and robotic prostheses?
